“How Many People Can Fit on My Balcony” - A Music and Visual Journey Through the History of Thessaloniki
An Ogdoo review of olipoli’s performance, which takes children and adults on a journey through Thessaloniki’s multicultural history through music, storytelling and artistic video projections.
Inspired by Sakis Serefas’ award-winning book A Dinosaur on My Balcony, How Many People Can Fit on My Balcony? is an olipoli production that brings the history, memory and cultural diversity of Thessaloniki to life through live music, narration and visual arts. Following its performances at the Islahane Cultural Centre, Ogdoo highlighted the production as a meaningful artistic experience for audiences of all ages, offering a creative introduction to the city's rich multicultural heritage.
The performance was originally presented as part of the Greek Ministry of Culture’s programme “All of Greece, One Culture 2025” and was subsequently included in the Open Theatre Stage of the City 2026 programme of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
