Anopolis World Music Festival returns for the third year in a row, from Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 September 2023, inviting you all to a three-day music event in the public space, in squares, secret places and monuments of Ano Poli!
Drawing inspiration from the musical traditions of the world, from the music of the Mediterranean, the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa and the Black Sea region, solo, duo and trio musical groups, from Greece and abroad, will present original compositions and arrangements of traditional purposes, through experimentation, improvisation, different languages and styles.
Highlighting these new, contemporary creative approaches, and in combination with the extroverted, open-for-all character of the festival which promotes musical performance and listening in the public space, the overall aim is the direct interaction of musicians with the public, the cultivation of the musicality of the visitors, as well as the contact of young people with the art of music, in a familiar, friendly environment, like that of the neighborhood.

Our vision for Anopolis World Music Festival is to serve the community as a live and vibrant organization that permeates the city’s social reality, evolving according to the needs of the times.
The festival is organized by the non-profit organization olipoli, in collaboration with the Third Municipal District of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, with the participation of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, and with the financial support of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
